Deadline for Annual Report Award 2016 Entries Extended

​In relation to registration for the Annual Report Award 2016 (ARA 2016) entries, it is hereby informed that the ARA 2016 registration period and deadline for annual reports submission have been "extended" until July 14, 2017.

The Annual Report Award 2016 is an annual agenda that the Financial Services Authority (OJK) holds in cooperation with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Bank  Indonesia, the Directorate General of Taxation, the National Governance Policy Committee, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the Indonesia Accounting Association.

Today, an annual report no longer just represents a management accountability report to the General Shareholders' Meeting (RUPS), but it has become an effective tool to communicate with all parties about a company's performance and prospects in the future. Participation in the 2016 ARA competition stands for Good Corporate Governance application and from the competition, the participating companies will receive input from various stakeholders on the quality of their annual reports. Plus, their participation will further establish their presence in their respective industries.

Requirements for Participants:

 

  • The competition is open for all types of companies, including state-owned enterprises (SOE)/province-owned enterprises (BUMD), public companies, as well as private companies;
  • It is open for Pension Funds, both Financial Institutions Pension Funds (DPLK) and Employer-Sponsored Pension Funds (DPPK);
  • Participants should submit their 2016 Annual Reports by sending 2 (two) hard copies and a soft copy (saved in a flash disc) of their annual reports.
  • Participants should submit soft-copy presentations that describe briefly how they implemented GCG principles in no more than 10 (ten) slides.

 

General Assessment Criteria:

  • Presence of clear and satisfactory description on corporate operation, and explanation about corporate performance as well as indicators of the company's future direction;
  • Clear information on how the company applied good corporate governance;
  • Excellent and lucid presentation of financial information that complies with the applicable accounting principles in Indonesia;
  • Adherence to the prevailing legislation;
  • The panel of judges' decisions cannot be challenged or contested.

Types of Awards:

  • All winners will receive certificates signed by OJK Chairman and OJK Commissioner for Capital Market;
  • All participants will receive certificates signed by OJK Commissioner for Capital Market;
  • All winners for State-Owned Enterprises Category will receive certificates from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises;
  • All winners will receive certificates from the Directorate General of Taxation;
  • All winners will receive certificates and awards from Bank Indonesia;
  • All winners will be entitled to listing fee reduction as Issuers of the Indonesia Stock Exchange;
  • All winners will be exempted from membership fees and receive books on accounting, training and certification examination from the Indonesia Accounting Association;
  • All winners will receive certificates and awards from the National Governance Policy Committee
  • All participants will be entitled to reductions in corporate rating fees, equity research fees, and publication subscription rates from PEFINDO;
  • All winners will be published on mass media.

  • A participant's registration date will be recorded based on

the dates of its valid transfer proof and annual report submission proof.

  • The submitted annual reports shall be the same with those presented to the stakeholders.
  • Nominees for the 2016 ARA will attend interviews to be held from August 21 to 29, 2017.
  • The submitted annual reports shall become properties of the 2016 ARA Committee.
