PRESS RELEASE

OJK NORTH SUMATRA STRENGTHENS REGIONAL FINANCIAL ACCESS THROUGH TECHNICAL GUIDANCE AND SOCIALIZATION OF THE 2026–2030 TPAKD ROADMAP

Balige, 14 November 2025. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of North Sumatra Province conducted a socialization session on the 2026–2030 Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) Roadmap and a technical guidance program for the preparation of the 2026 TPAKD Work Plan as part of its strategic efforts to enhance cross-sector coordination in accelerating regional financial inclusion.

Held in Balige on Thursday (13/11), the event was attended by Yusri, Acting Head of OJK North Sumatra Province, along with regional officials and relevant stakeholders, including the Vice Regent of Toba, Audi Murphy O. Sitorus; Head of the Economic Bureau of the North Sumatra Provincial Secretariat, Poppy Marulita Hutagalung; Regional Secretary of Asahan Regency, Zainal Aripin Sinaga; Acting Head of the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) Balige, Waskita Fitri Ayuni; as well as representatives from Bank Indonesia and TPAKD teams from districts and cities across North Sumatra.

In his remarks, Yusri emphasized that TPAKD serves as a critical coordination forum for expanding financial access, particularly for community segments that continue to face barriers. Since its establishment in 2016, TPAKD has facilitated various programs that have contributed to regional economic growth and improved community welfare.

“As we enter 2026, TPAKD's policy direction is increasingly aligned with the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025–2045. All regions must develop innovative work programs that deliver tangible benefits to the public, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), fishermen, farmers, women, youth, and other vulnerable groups," Yusri stated.

To further support regional capacity building, OJK North Sumatra Province has conducted three capacity-building activities for TPAKD members throughout 2025. This socialization and technical guidance program is expected to enhance understanding of new policy directions, implementation strategies, and the preparation of the 2026 TPAKD Work Plan.

During the event, the Vice Regent of Toba, Audi Murphy O. Sitorus, expressed his appreciation and emphasized the importance of strengthening local government capacity to achieve the Regional Financial Access Index (IKAD) targets.

“This initiative carries a high level of urgency, especially now that financial inclusion has become a key development indicator as mandated by Law Number 59 of 2024 on the National Long-Term Development Plan 2025–2045 and Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 on the National Medium-Term Development Plan 2025–2029," Audi stated.

Poppy Marulita Hutagalung, Head of the Economic Bureau of the North Sumatra Provincial Secretariat, emphasized that the 2026–2030 TPAKD Roadmap represents a strengthened phase of TPAKD's role as a driver of equitable regional economic growth.

“The 2026–2030 TPAKD Roadmap not only focuses on expanding access to financial services but also on deepening financial usage, enhancing financial literacy, strengthening consumer protection, and empowering priority groups such as MSMEs, informal sector workers, women, youth, persons with disabilities, and communities in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped regions (3T). The Provincial Government of North Sumatra fully supports this policy direction and is committed to strengthening synergy among regional agencies, financial institutions, and the business sector to accelerate financial inclusion," Poppy explained.

Through this initiative, OJK North Sumatra Province reaffirms its commitment to enhancing coordination with local governments and the financial services industry, while ensuring that the implementation of the 2026–2030 TPAKD Roadmap aligns with national policies. These collective efforts are expected to accelerate the development of a more inclusive, adaptive, and equitable financial ecosystem for all communities in North Sumatra.
