PRESS RELEASE

OJK AND SRO HOLD CONSOLIDATION DIALOGUE WITH CAPITAL MARKET PARTICIPANTS

Jakarta, 18 October 2026. Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Capital Market Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) held a dialogue with capital market participants, such as analysts, economics, and financial influencers (finfluencers) at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Sunday to present the latest capital market information and developments.

The meeting was also held to gather input and perspectives from capital market stakeholders as part of efforts to further strengthen market integrity and maintain public confidence.

Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of OJK Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Chief Executive of Capital Markets, Financial Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Supervision Hasan Fawzi, leaders of Indonesia Stock Exchange, Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI) and Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation (KPEI) attended the meeting.

Friderica emphasized the importance of open and constructive dialogue between regulators and market participants to identify various inputs and areas requiring attention in maintaining confidence and strengthening Indonesia's capital market.

“Regulators do not simply formulate policies for market participants. We remain open to various inputs and perspectives, including issues that may fall within our blind spots. These inputs are essential to our collective efforts to develop and strengthen the domestic capital market," Friderica said.

Hasan Fawzi also reaffirmed OJK, SRO, and capital market players' commitment to resuming and optimizing Indonesia Capital Market Integrity Reform Acceleration. These measures included improvements in market transparency and communications with global index providers and investors, including to follow up several inputs for Indonesia capital market.

Capital market integrity was also enforced through law and order, Hasan added. On 16 October 2026, OJK announced the imposing of administrative sanctions in the form of penalty fee amounting to Rp2.1 trillion to parties affiliated with capital market violations.

Hasan said the sanctions were a part of the supervisory procedures by OJK and is not a mere reactive response to the latest market development. Law enforcement measures are a part of OJK's commitment to enforcing capital market integrity and maintaining investors' trust.

“Our capital market is our shared home and belongs to all of us. Amid the various challenges we face, we must respond with constructive solutions. At this critical juncture, we need to work together and present a measured response grounded in facts and rational analysis to help balance market sentiment," Hasan explained.

He underlined how market players, economists, and finfluencers' inputs generate objective, factual recommendations that can be swiftly followed up by OJK and SRO, which aligns with investor bases expansion in Indonesia capital market.

The Director of Business Development of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Iding Pardi pointed out transparency enforcement as one of the main foci of Indonesia capital market reform. Transparency is achieved through information disclosure and dissemination of share ownership, investor classification, and share ownership concentration. The disclosure widely gained positive acknowledgement and appreciation from various parties.

Through this dialogue, OJK and the SROs encouraged capital market stakeholders to actively contribute input and perspectives to support ongoing efforts to strengthen market integrity, enhance transparency, and reinforce public and investor confidence in Indonesia's capital market.
