OJK COLLABOR​ATES WITH THE AUDIT BOARD TO DEVELOP FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY QUALITY CONTROL COMPETENCY

Bali, February 20, 2024. Indonesia Financial Serv​ices Authority (OJK) continuously develop HR competence and quality in carrying out the supervisory functions to Financial Services Industry through various training program, in collaboration with national and international training institutions as well as related stakeholders.

Chairman of the Audit Board and concurrent OJK Board of Commissioner members Sophia Wattimena conveyed the statement in the opening of Quality Control dan Quality Assurance (QCQA) Training. The training was a collaboration between OJK and The Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) and was held at State Finance Audit (PKN) Training Agency Bali – BPK RI on Monday.

“As the supervisor of financial services industry required to have high comprehension of the industry under our observation, we consistently execute the HR development programs to keep pace with the quick and dynamic industry development," said Sophia.

Furthermore, Sophia stated that this is the second time OJK collaborates with BPK RI in conducting training. In 2023, OJK and BPK RI held Internal Audit and Investigation training at PKN Training Agency Special Region of Yogyakarta.

“I hope the training program will be able to improve the competency of all employees involved in the Supervision QCQA in OJK, so the employees are able to grasp the Quality Management concept in identifying and developing QCQA mechanism and tools more effectively in their respective sectors," Sophia explained.

Head of the Audit Board Training Institute on State Finance Audit of BPK RI Suwarni Dyah Setyaningsih, Head of PKN Training Institute Bali Bustanul Arifin, Head of the Audit Board Training Institute on State Finance Audit Secretariat Ikromi, Director of Human Resources Development and Assessment Mohamad Nu'man Rizal and Director of Internal Audit 1 Albertus Widjono attended the opening event of the training.

Quality Control and Quality Assurance Training was held for 4 days from February 19 to 22, 2024, inviting nation-wide widyaiswara (civil servant appointed to be a trainer) to share their insights, knowledge, and skills to OJK employees who are representatives from all supervisory sectors.
