​Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) continuously cultivates solid support to sustainable finances development in Indonesia. One of these support efforts is carried out through the Climate Risk Management & Scenario Analysis (CRMS) Guideline, OJK's policy on the climate change risk management.

CRMS is an integrated framework that includes governance, strategy, risk management, and disclosure on bank business model and strategy resilience assessment to face climate changes in short, medium, and long-term.

The CRMS Guideline consists of 6 (six) books that complements each other. The first book is the climate risk management framework, supported by the other five books:

1. Technical guideline on measuring climate risk;

2. Methodology of carbon emission calculation;

3. Supporting data on physical risk potentials in Indonesia;

4. Supporting data on Indonesia macroeconomy projection; as well as

5. Report paperwork on climate risk and carbon emission impact submitted by banks to OJK.

The CRMS Guideline preparation considers the common practice and international standard, adjusted to Indonesia's context and national interest. The CRMS Guideline is expected to help bank in measuring climate changes impact on their performance and business continuity through the standardization of climate risk framework, coordination of scenarios and methodology framework, as well as support from data and reference sources. The Guideline is a living document and will be periodically updated in accordance with the global policies direction, best practices of the financial industry, and stakeholders' demands.
