Liputan6.com, Jakarta - BUMN Minister Erick Thohir asked human resource development (HR) experts to share their experiences. This step can be taken through the Indonesia Human Capital Summit 2023.

This effort is considered as an embodiment of the theme initiated by the agenda. It was noted that the theme of the event focused on human resource development.

"Through the big theme Navigating Human Experience Journey for Value Creation and Sustainability, we hope that experts in the field of human capital can exchange the latest ideas and practices to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources," said Erick Thohir in his speech, in Jakarta, Monday (6/11/ 2023).

He hopes that through sharing experiences, he can increase the growth and development of the quality of domestic human resources. Furthermore, it can provide added value and create HR growth that is oriented towards sustainable growth.

"Congratulations on participating in the 2023 Human Capital Summit series, let's together create superior and globally competitive human resources so that we can accelerate the realization of a Golden Indonesia 2045," said Erick Thohir.

On the same occasion, Chair of the Indonesian Human Capital Forum Alexandra Askandar said that human resource development was the main key to the progress of a company. Primarily, in responding to various global challenges.

"It is hoped that the IHCS 2023 event will be a space for discussion and provide inspiration in the process of forming ideas to support HR capabilities," he explained.

The Role of BUMN to Boost the Quality of Indonesian Human Resources

Previously, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir revealed the role of state-owned companies in boosting the quality of human resources (HR). One of them is through the role of the BUMN Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI).

This was conveyed by Erick at the opening of the Indonesia Human Capital Summit 2023. This event is the fourth year the forum has been held.

"I appreciate the Indonesian Human Capital Forum as a strategic partner of the government, especially the Ministry of BUMN, which continues to collaborate and innovate in developing superior Indonesian human resources. Both within the BUMN group in particular and Indonesia in general," explained Erick in his speech, in Jakarta, Monday ( 6/11/2023).

The seriousness of BUMN

He said that the seriousness of the Ministry of BUMN and state-owned companies could be seen through holding this event.

"This year is the fourth time the summit has been held. This is proof of the seriousness of FHCI and the Ministry of BUMN in developing human resources in Indonesia," stressed Erick.

Erick Thohir hopes that this forum can become a reference for developing the quality of domestic human resources. He also hopes that this forum can serve as the main barometer for strengthening Indonesia's human resources.

"We certainly hope that together with this human capital summit, we can become a leading barometer as well as the main leverage for the development of the world of human capital in Indonesia," he stressed.
