Call for Papers: 2017 Sharia Economy and Finance Research Forum XVI

The Sharia Economy and Finance Research Forum XVI (FREKS XVI) is one of the annual programs that the Financial Services Authority (OJK) holds in order to support research development on Sharia finance (Islamic banking, Islamic capital market, and Islamic non-bank financial industry).

In 2017, the theme chosen for this program is "Towards the New Paradigm of Indonesia's Sharia Financial Industry Development: Reinforcement of Government's Role."

Required qualifications for participants:

  1. Junior Researchers (undergraduate students, graduates, postgraduate students, or holders of equivalent degrees from any professional background).
  2. Mid-level Researchers (postgraduates, doctoral students, doctors or holders of equivalent degrees from any professional background).
  3. Researchers Recommended by Scopus Indexed Journal (undergraduate students, graduates, postgraduate students, postgraduates, doctoral students, doctors or holders of equivalent degrees from any professional background).

Important Dates:

July 30, 2017                           : Deadline for paper submissions

June – August 2017                 : Review and consideration by the panel of judges

September 1 – 5, 2017             : Announcement of finalists

September 12 – 13, 2017         : Paper presentations during the FREKS XVI at Sebelas Maret University, Solo

Prizes:

  1. IDR 75 million for 3 winners in the Scopus Recommended Journal Category (IDR 25 million for each winner)
  2. IDR 120 million for 6 winners in the Mid-Level Researcher Category (IDR 20 million for each winner)
  3. IDR 90 million for 6 winners in the Junior Researcher Category (IDR 15 million for each winner)
